Identity & Mission

The Levelstair Community (hereinafter “the Community”) is a free, open, and nonprofit community dedicated to the growth of game development, esports, XR technology, 2D animation, VTubing, and the broader creator ecosystem in Sri Lanka. The Community was established in 2024 as the flagship arm of Levelstair (Pvt) Ltd and operates as a distinct, mission-driven entity within the organisation.

Mission Statement

To build Sri Lanka's most inclusive and impactful community for game developers, esports players, XR creators, animators, VTubers, and digital creatives, connecting beginners to industry professionals through learning, collaboration, and shared opportunity.

Vision

To become the central professional and creative hub for game development and the creator economy in Sri Lanka recognised nationally and internationally as the authoritative voice of Sri Lanka's creator ecosystem.

The Community is not a commercial entity. It does not exist to generate revenue, promote products, or serve the business interests of the studio. It exists solely to serve its members and the broader ecosystem. Its commercial parent, Levelstair (Pvt) Ltd, provides operational support, infrastructure, and resources, but its direction is guided by its members and their representatives.

02

Values & Principles

Our identity is defined by five core values and five operational principles. They define how we behave, how we make decisions, and how we hold each other accountable.

Core Values

Education

We provide essential resources and learning opportunities to help aspiring developers grow their skills and knowledge.

Innovation

We encourage creative thinking and innovative approaches to game development, pushing boundaries in the industry.

Achievement

We celebrate and support our community members in reaching their goals and transforming passion into successful careers.

Collaboration

We foster a collaborative environment where developers can work together, share knowledge, and build meaningful connections.

Enjoyment

We believe that learning and creating should be fun, engaging, and rewarding for all community members.

Guiding Principles

Open Access

The Community is free to join and free to participate in. No background, institution, or socioeconomic status creates a barrier to membership or contribution.

Build Together

We share knowledge, credit contributions, and support each other's projects. Collaboration is valued over competition within the Community.

Grow With Purpose

We prioritise depth of impact over scale of membership. Every program should meaningfully advance a member's skills, career, or creative output.

Represent with Integrity

Members who represent the Community — as ambassadors, speakers, or organisers — do so with honesty, professionalism, and accountability.

Inclusive by Design

We design for the most underrepresented member — the student in a rural school with no local network — not the most connected. Inclusion is structural, not performative.

03
